Ami befriends Mamoru's colleague Natsumi, a widow who is trying to restore a classic car.

Summary

Usagi suspects that Mamoru is cheating, but it turns out that he's getting his car repaired at the shop of a young widow. Ami quickly befriends the woman and begins working at her shop, touched by the story of a car "filled with their love". Hawk's Eye, attracted to the widow, disguises himself as her late husband, causing her mental exhaustion to reach its peak. Hawk's Eye kidnaps her from the hospital, causing a car chase with Mamoru. A trapeze artist Lemures forces the cast to engage in a swinging battle, but Tuxedo Mask stuns her and allows Sailor Moon to win.

In the final moments, they finally get Natsumi's car running; however, the engine immediately explodes, causing everyone to laugh. Natsumi points out that she can take her time now, as "I have all the time in the world!"

Episode trivia

  • This episode was the last time the background music for the Mercury Star Power, Make Up animation sequence was used.
  • Chibi-Moon is able to hold up both Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury by herself. Despite straining, this indicates some degree of enhanced strength, even for the youngest Sailor.
  • The episode contains a few allusions to the anime Maison Ikkoku. The story is about a beautiful widow who loses her husband at a young age, as this episode's guest character does. The anime also features a Mrs. Ichinose as a major recurring character- Natsumi's shop is called "Ichinose Garage".
