Is there any direct evidence for Pluto's father being Chronos? All I can recall is Chibiusa's incantation to activate the Space Time Key, and it wasn't absolutely clear that it was addressed to Sailor Pluto anyway. Dooky 21:53, 12 June 2006 (MST)

I think her father being chronos is a fanfiction thing and that ought to be taken out.--WikiSysop 22:55, 12 June 2006 (MST)

Well it's not a fanfiction thing as there is some indication from canon, however I'll remove it from the infobox and add it as a note in the fan canon section instead as we're not 100% sure. GracieLizzie 03:40, 13 June 2006 (MST)
That seems reasonable. I've seen it stated on some fairly reputable sites, so it's clearly a commonly-held belief, but (certainly in the anime) it's a little bit of a stretch to consider it canon. Is it mentioned at all in the manga? Dooky 04:18, 13 June 2006 (MST)
I believe it is only mentioned in the context of Chibiusa's incantion. Which can be found on Alex Glover's site (old translations, act 18). Luna does identify Sailor Pluto as "the solitary guardian of time" in the manga however. The thing is we're not sure if the incantion is supposed to be literal or not. GracieLizzie 04:32, 13 June 2006 (MST)
In Act 19 of the manga, there's a frame that says, "She has the blood of the God of time, Chronos, in her veins...." Then again, this is the Mixx/Tokyopop translation here, so I have no idea how accurate it might be, and I don't have the original Japanese manga volumes, so I can't compare. Can someone who does have access to them compare? It's the long vertical frame on the page where Pluto gives Endymion a key. Even if the translation's correct, it still doesn't explain exactly how they're related, but it's something. --Phibby 11:48, 6 July 2006 (MST)

Added transformations and another power just to help start getting this on level with Sailor Mercury. I moved Time Stop and Dark Dome Close to "other powers" because I'm not sure they're technically "attacks" (a bit iffy on Dark Dome Close, though). Also, I'm not sure if Garnet Ball is really the name of the shield technique or if it was just an exclamation used to call forth the Garnet Orb; the translation called the Garnet Orb "Garnet Orb" earlier in the book, so I don't think it's just a mistranslation (Orb ---> Ball), but, again, it's Mixx/Tokyopop. Secondly, Space-Time Door or Spacetime Door? The infobox has the latter, but the former seemed to appear more in the article and in others (Key of Space-Time). And finally, even though it's only sort of relevant, is "Eternal Sailor (blank)" (not counting Moon), like "Eternal Sailor Mercury," etc., an official term in referring to the uniform with poofy sleeves and the Eternal-style boots and skirts? I couldn't actually find it mentioned in the manga or on this site anywhere, so I just wanted to be sure before including it in the article. Thanks! --Phibby 11:48, 6 July 2006 (MST)

In answer to your questions...
  • Time Stop is definitely a power rather than an attack, I'd say. The same is almost certainly true of Dark Dome Close Although I'm less familiar with that.
  • You'd probably have to look at the original Japanese but I'd say 99% she's just referring to the Garnet Orb by name.
  • Go with 'Space-Time Door', it seems to be the smoothest rendering.
  • 'Eternal' is not officially used for any Senshi apart from Sailor Moon. There is no name for the new uniforms seen in the Stars manga, although some refer to them as the 'starry' form. I'm not really convinced that they even are a new form in the same was as the Super forms were, but I guess it's a controversial topic. Dooky 16:23, 6 July 2006 (MST)
Thanks for the help! I'll probably just add a note to the powers saying she can create shields, etc. (Garnet Ball). --Phibby 03:05, 7 July 2006 (MST)

About the "fan canon" on King Endymion; it may be worth noting that it's also appeared in Seramyu. In the Eien Densetsu and Shin Densetsu Kourin musicals, Pluto saves Queen Beryl's life on the grounds that the two are alike, and tells her "I too love that man" (the song 'Onna no Ronsou'). --Rosen 06:36, 3 August 2006 (MST)

Added a note, thanks for bringing it to our attention :). GracieLizzie 06:44, 3 August 2006 (MST)

Slightly off-topic on this one, but something I've been wondering. Would the recent declasification of Pluto have any future impact on canon? In the unlikely scenario that Naoko Takeuchi does create any future Sailor Moon works, could this possibly open the door for Ceres, Charon and 2003 UB313 (or Xena)? Or maybe for Sailor Pluto to be written out? DoddyUK 16:56, 29 August 2006 (MST)

Nope. Remember that in canon, all celestial objects have Sailor Crystals associated with them, regardless of type or size. -- DENelson83 16:57, 29 August 2006 (MST)

Costumes

I expanded manga costume section. Would someone mind checking this for the details as I don't have the real life manga and I wrote this mostly from pictures from the Internet and the Inner Senshi info on this subject.Pinkfox 03:20, 13 June 2007 (MST)

By the way, I think I accidentally used the text I had writen for Saturn here, so I adjusted the colors.Pinkfox 03:20, 13 June 2007 (MST)

Musicals

Though Pluto is just a motionless silhouette in the first S musical, she does have some spoken dialogue. The S Memorial Album entry on Beej's Compleat CD List claims it's Miwa Hosoki as "Sailor Pluto (voice only)", but I can't find any facts elsewhere to confirm or deny that. Does anyone have any more info on who is speaking there? --Rosen 06:06, 14 August 2007 (MST)

Black brooch

I didn't invent it, Takeuchi did. Read this. --Silver 11:09, 3 September 2009 (MST)

...you mean that picture in which her choker gem is still garnet, just like in all the other pictures? Kerochan no Miko 11:19, 3 September 2009 (MST)
