One thing that has never been noted in any anime wiki that I've seen is the Japanese concept of "garaigo" which literally means "foreign language words." I'm sure by the context you can infer that this means the use of foreign words in Japanese. What's not well known however, is that the use of gairaigo involves reconstructing the foreign words with Japanese phonemes that can be written in katakana. I put this note in a talk page https://wikimoon.org/index.php/Talk:Jupiter,_the_Brawny_Girl_in_Love#A_gag_in_the_episode_that_needs_clarification but I don't think that such a long, detailed explanation of gairaigo is appropriate in the article itself. Instead, I was thinking of just making a short note that reads like "When Sailor Jupiter performs Supreme Thunder for the first time, Sailor Moon mishears it as "Chou Cream Sundae" (Shū kurīmu sandē) because the garaigo pronunciation of "Supreme Thunder" (Shūpurīmu sandā) is phonetically similar. Since most people who speak English can't read Japanese Katakana, I would use the romanization so that it would be sufficiently clarified. Despite some arguments, Sailor Moon R, S, and SuperS finally have summaries, now properly brief instead of ridiculously long, and you've updated the episode infobox template to say "First English Dub Episode" instead of "English Dub Episode," acknowledging that the new dub exists. This is great. There are still some requests I'm waiting for your response to on various talk pages. [[Special:Contributions/50.24.16.38|50.24.16.38]] 22:16, 13 March 2021 (EST)

Revision as of 23:16, 13 March 2021

PLEASE NOTE: I cannot grant permission for new users to create articles or to not encounter captchas. Those are things set up to be automatically handled by the wiki once new users have met certain criteria, a measure made necessary because of issues we've had in the past with an abundance of spammers/bots. I can/will not go around it.

Also, please do not comment on my talk page about specific articles or edits - those discussions should take place on the talk pages for the articles in question. Thank you!

Can I make a page for a Greek group of fandubbers named WoD? (Wings of Destiny). I have seen there are a few pages for fandub groups. This group made a Greek fandub for Specials and Movies in Greece and some episodes of Sailor Moon Crystal. ArisGamer2000 (talk) 13:12, December 27, 2020 (EST) I can't text on the WikimoonWeb section for some reason. ArisGamer2000 (talk) 10:12, December 28, 2020 (EST) I meant Wikimoon does not let me edit the wikimoon web section of the site. Also, happy new year!!!! ArisGamer2000 (talk) 16:54, January 01, 2021 (EST) I mean that when I tap the button edit a message bumps saying: "Only admins have permission to edit this page" ArisGamer2000 (talk) 23:45, January 01, 2021 (EST)

I apologise, I will request you for deleting an article next time. ArisGamer2000 (talk) 9:46, 13 January 2020 (EST)

The CAPTCHAs are confusing

They frequently ask things like "who is the guardian of Venus?" What does it want there? Sailor Venus? Or her civilian name Minako, or her full name Minako Aino? Nothing ever seems to work. 50.24.16.38 21:25, 9 March 2021 (EST)

Yeah. And if you make a user account then you don't have to deal with captchas. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 22:32, 9 March 2021 (EST)

I've added a summary for Sailor Moon SuperS

Tell me what you think. I know it's missing some details, but I'll try to fill those in later. 50.24.16.38 22:11, 12 March 2021 (EST)
