Masahiro Ando (安藤正浩) was an animation director for all five seasons of the Sailor Moon anime. Notable episodes featuring his animation direction include the first appearances of Urawa, Sailor Venus, the Moonlight Knight, Chibiusa, Sailor Pluto, and the Amazoness Quartet, and the first and last episodes of Sailor Moon S. His final episode was episode 170.
Masahiro's style was very unique in the Sailor Moon series. His characters had rounder faces, making them look younger, and he specialized in comical facial expressions. As a new staff of animation directors was employed for the Stars season, he only worked on one episode (170).
