Talk:Sailor Moon in Britain

Very interesting stuff (I'm a Brit myself and a lot of this is new to me), but I think it could do with a few sources. I'd certainly heard that the Sailor Moon DVDs lost MVM quite a bit of money, but I dunno about taking them to the verge of bankruptcy. Likewise, the reasoning for Fox only giving ITV the first 13 episodes seems speculative... ITV will often only show a handful of episodes from a series (They only showed the first five episodes of Zim). My abiding memory of ITV showing the SM dub was the presenter referring to the Senshi as 'babes'. Uh... yeah. Dooky 12:50, 26 May 2006 (MST)

Well, you know, BSSM - Babe Soldier Sailor Moon. ^_^ --Rosen 06:27, 11 August 2006 (MST)
I remember him (he's called Jamie apparently) showing a piece of Sailor Pluto fanart ^_^ GracieLizzie 13:55, 13 August 2006 (MST)
Uragh, Jamie Rickers was/is still a twat of the highest order and to think that I found that whole "Kiwi Ranger" stich funny. --Conan-san 15:08, 22 December 2006 (MST)

I have some of the licenced-by-vivid dolls! I remember a woman finding me a little odd when I flipped out after seeing Sailor Moon toys in Woolworths ^_^ heh. The dolls all came packaged with videos of A Moon Star is Born. GracieLizzie 13:55, 13 August 2006 (MST)

I edited the addition mentioning Toonattik airing the episodes, but I really couldn't wring much coherence out of what was there, especially the part about 10 episodes of the first and second seasons? Kerochan no Miko 14:51, 25 March 2008 (MST)

Is it really fair mentioning MVM's lose of Funimation rights?[edit]

I am unsure about the mentioning of MVMs lose of these rights to Funi properties? It's mention makes it sound like this is the fault of the poor sales of the Sailor Moon DVD release over here, but it's simply because Navarre bought Funimation[1] and Revelation Films is their distributor[2] I assume they simply wanted to streamline their distributors over here for financial and/or red-tape reasons. --GracieLizzie 19:10, 16 February 2007 (MST)

I have no opinion either way, but you do have a good point. It doesn't seem terribly relevant. Kerochan no Miko 19:23, 16 February 2007 (MST)
Yeah, I was surprised to see it there as it seems a little off topic for me. I'll leave it and if no one makes a counter-argument or such in the next day or so I'll get rid of it. --GracieLizzie 19:29, 16 February 2007 (MST)
I figgure given the bad luck they had with it, yes --172.203.0.88 13:22, 5 March 2007 (MST)
"Bad luck" is a point of view. And since we're trying to keep neutral POV, I say remove it. Kerochan no Miko 16:50, 5 March 2007 (MST)
