Moto Azabu High School

Moto Azabu High School (元麻布高等学校) was the school attended by Mamoru Chiba and Ittou Asanuma in the manga and Sailor Moon Crystal. It was a combination of junior high and high school, which was why Asanuma and Mamoru attended the same school despite their age differences. The school was located in the Azabu district of Minato-ku, Tokyo, and had a reputation as a prestigious and highly competitive school.

It was likely based on the real-life Azabu High School.

Trivia

• According to the Materials Collection, the only difference in the uniform for the two sides of the school was that those in the junior high grades wore a red tie, while those in the high school grades wore a blue tie. In Crystal, however, the colors seemed to be reversed, as Mamoru wore a red tie and Asanuma wore a blue one.
