Mikuji was the first known Daimon hatched by Kaolinite to search Pure Hearts for Professor Tomoe. She was incubated in a cherry tree and attempted to steal Rei's Pure Heart Crystal. She also resisted Moon Princess Halation, broke the Crystal Star, and proved to be too strong for the Inner Senshi to fight. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune finished her off with World Shaking and Deep Submerge respectively, then returned the Crystal to Rei's body.
Video Games[edit]
Mikuji was one of the monster types that appeared in the video game Sailor Moon: Another Story. Numerous Mikuji could be fought during Sailor Jupiter's story in Chapter Two, inside the Protection Tree beside Medias village in Canada. In the fan translation of the game, her name was given as "Prophet."
Trivia[edit]
- "Mikuji" (御籤) is also a piece of paper on which Japanese Shintoists read fortune in the New Year. If it tells something negative, the "bad effects" can be warded off by tying it to a tree.
- Mikuji was one of the few monsters-of-the-day to appear in more than one episode. She was also one of the only two Daimons (the other being Daruma) who was not killed by Sailor Moon, as she was destroyed by Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune.
