Mandrake was a character from the Dracul arc of the Sailor Moon musicals. He was the human form of a Mandrake plant which the Samael Quartet found in the forest. In another hundred years, he would evolve to be a Mandragora, but for the time being was only an immature plant, although he still had healing powers.
Mandrake revealed that his kind grew from the tears of innocents sentenced to death, and he himself sprouted from a tear shed by Baron Gilles de Rais's beloved Joan when she was killed.
In Last Dracul Saishuu Shou - Chou Wakusei Death Vulcan no Fuuin, Mandrake was given the responsibility of taking care of Levi after the death of her family. The pair traveled to Japan, where they met up with Mandrake's sister, Mandra-ko.
