Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai

Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai (恋の戦士じゃいられない ; We Can't Be Soldiers of Love Forever) was an image song and battle song from the Sailor Moon musicals. In this song, each of the nine Solar System Senshi of the 20th century introduced herself.

There were four versions of the song: "Millennium ~ Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai" (from Kessen / Transylvania no Mori - Shin Toujou! Chibi Moon wo Mamoru Senshi-tachi), "21st Century ~ Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai" (Kessen / Transylvania no Mori (Kaiteiban) - Saikyou no Kataki Dark Cain no Nazo, Last Dracul Saishuu Shou - Chou Wakusei Death Vulcan no Fuuin, Tanjou! Ankoku no Princess Black Lady, and Ai no Sanctuary), "21st Now ~ Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai" (Mugen Gakuen - Mistress Labyrinth), and "Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai" (Kakyuu-Ouhi Kourin).

Trivia

• Four of the phrases used by the Sailor Senshi in their introductory verses are also in their image songs from the musicals: "Genius the Veil" is also a line in "Drive Me The Mercury," "Destruction" is a line in "The World Died Out," and "My Deep Sea" and "Rushing Wind" are in "Harsh! Saint Cry!!". None of the other phrases appear in other songs, however.

• In the stage performance of the "21st Now" version, all of the Senshi except for Sailor Moon were cut off after the first line of their solo introductions by the villains attacking them, and were thus unable to say their names. Instead, Sailor Moon asked the audience to fill in for them. This version of the song marked the only time the songs were affected by the battle on stage.
