Harvey Atkin

Harvey Atkin, born December 18, 1942, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was a Canadian actor who voiced Bumboo and Pox in the first English dub of the Sailor Moon anime. His other roles included Sam in The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police, King Koopa in The Super Mario Brothers Super Show, Mr. Jones in Hello Kitty and Friends, and Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop. His live-action roles included the desk sergeant in Cagney & Lacey and Morty in Meatballs, and he was a regular on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Atkin died of brain cancer in Toronto, at the age of 74.

  • His grandfather was a Jewish immigrant from Russia who taught him to speak Yiddish at an early age.
