Venus Love-Me Chain in the anime

This attack was first used in episode 65 to counter Calaveras' Dark Beaut whip. When this attack was performed in the anime, Sailor Venus summoned a chain formed of golden energy which swirled around her, then directed it at the enemies, either to harm them or restrict their movement. It could also be used if a rope or something similar was needed.

in the manga

This attack first appeared in Act 11 of the manga, where Sailor Venus used it on Motoki Furuhata after he had been brainwashed by Queen Beryl, declaring that she would open his eyes; when he woke again, he had returned to normal. She would later use the attack in a similar manner during the Mugen arc on a group of a students who had become brainwashed by Mimete. In the manga, Sailor Venus removed her chain which was attached to her waist and used it to perform the attack.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

In the live-action series, this attack was used for the first time in Act 18 in conjunction with Sailor Mars' Youma Taisan in order to destroy a Youma. Sailor Venus performed the attack the same way she did in the manga. Once removed, Sailor Venus' chain could extend to a very large size, and she used it as a whip to strike her enemies or to block attacks.

Musicals

This attack appeared for the first time in the very first musical, Sailor Moon - Gaiden Dark Kingdom Fukkatsu Hen, where it was used against Kunzite.

Video Games

This attack appeared in several video games. In Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R for the Super Famicom, as well as Sailor Moon for the Mega Drive, to perform this attack Sailor Venus spun around with her chain in her extended arm, hitting ennemies with the chain along the way.

In Sailor Moon S Kurukkurin and Sailor Moon S: Kondo wa Puzzle de Oshiokiyo!, this attack could only be used at certain points during the game in order to either inconvenience the opponent or improve the player's game.

In Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Soudatsusen and Sailor Moon SuperS: Zenin Sanka!! Shuyaku Soudatsusen, Sailor Venus would make the chain circle around herself from top to bottom.

In Sailor Moon: Another Story, it was performed the same way it was in the anime: she spun around with the chain circling herself, then hit a single target with it. Upon impact, the chain seemed to cause a small explosion of light.
