Does anyone know what name this attack had in the dub?

According to the episode's episode trivia. It was called Venus Crescent Beam Shower. GracieLizzie 15:09, 16 July 2006 (MST)
She actually says Crescent Beam of Anger in the dub ("...catch my Crescent Beam of Anger, you boorish beasts"). --Phibby 18:04, 16 July 2006 (MST)

Doncha think this attack is somewhat like a Grumman F-14 "Tomcat" firing all its 6 Phoenix to different directions at once? --210 20:53, 8 April 2007 (MST)

Listening to the clip, it sounds more like this attack's name is "Ikari no Crescent Beam Midare Uchi" or "怒りのクレッセント・ビーム乱れうち", rather than what is current listed as its kanji/kana. Lanate 20:12, 25 March 2011 (MST)

Does anyone have a canon source for either version of it? Kerochan no Miko 00:26, 26 March 2011 (MST)
I don't know but it is possible that what you are hearing is the ending of something similar to Jupiter's supreme thunder prelude Cartwheelingfiesta 00:35, 26 March 2011 (MST)
There's this Youtube video of the attack. Lanate 09:10, 26 March 2011 (MST)
"Canon source" doesn't mean "what you hear," it means an actual canon source. It really does sound like you have part of an introductory speech there. Kerochan no Miko 11:11, 26 March 2011 (MST)
Then can I argue this? At the moment, the page says that the attack's name is "Crescent Beam no Midare Uchi", except "Midare Uchi" should be written as "乱れうち" or "乱れ撃ち". Sailor Venus doesn't say "no" in the middle. It doesn't translate to the currently given attack name either, as it's lacking the "Furious" part of the name, which would be the "Ikari no" section.
What Sailor Venus says is: Ai to Mi no Megami Sailor Venus! Ikari no Crescent Beam Midare Uchi ukete itadakimasu! Yeah, there's some of the opening, but the "Ikari no" doesn't fit into the introduction. Lanate 13:05, 26 March 2011 (MST)
Although you might be right, you may be hearing it wrong as well. I've always thought Rica Fukami was the most difficult to understand out of the five of them. And it seems you've already made one mistake in your listening, its possible youve made more. Sorry, but hopefully a canon source exists ^^"Cartwheelingfiesta 13:34, 26 March 2011 (MST)
...It's not worth arguing anymore when I'm being misunderstood. I don't know where you've seen me make a mistake, but whatever. I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies on the page. Lanate 14:28, 26 March 2011 (MST)
She doesnt say "itadakimasu" I mean, it may be "itadakimashita" or some other form but its definitely not "itadakimasu". If you mean that parts of the article don't match. Please point out where, thanks Cartwheelingfiesta 14:35, 26 March 2011 (MST)
Unless you can point out a canon source that says how the attack should be written then I can't comment either way. Opinion isn't fact. Kerochan no Miko 18:39, 26 March 2011 (MST)

Crescent Beam Barrage/Mirage

Can someone with the Viz DVDs please verify the attack name on this? "Barrage" makes more sense in the context of the episode, but I don't own the SuperS DVDs and can't check it. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 18:20, 13 May 2018 (MST)

It is definitely Barrage. Edited to fit. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 20:20, 17 May 2018 (MST)

Attack Name update

After listening to a few different sources of the audio track for ep #141. I finally put together that she definitely says: "Ikari no Kuressento Biimu Midare Uchi Ukete Itadakimasu!" which would translate to be "You Will be Attacked by the Random Crescent Beam of Anger" or something like that. I Googled the Kanji/kana (怒りのクレッセント・ビーム乱れ撃ち受けていただきます) and there are 15,800 results; one being Minako's profile on the Japanese Wikipedia. It doesn't have the last 2 words attached though -> [2] which I suppose would just be "Random Crescent Beam of Anger". I am still searching for a canon source, but at least we have a bit more to go on now, especially when native Japanese people heard the same thing ^_^. -Corza Moon (talk) 06:25, 30 November 2019 (EST)

Any objections to at least updating the Kanji/kana for now to: 怒りのクレッセント・ビーム乱れ撃ち ? -Corza Moon (talk) 20:12, 1 December 2019 (EST)
If it does not come from a canon source then it cannot be in the article. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 23:32, 1 December 2019 (EST)
Agreed. Can someone remove the existing "クレッセント・ビームの乱れ撃ち" in the article's "Attack Name (kanji/kana)" until a canon source can be found. Also I request a rename of the page to "Crescent Beam Barrage" [3] or "Crescent Beam of Anger"/"Random Shower of the Crescent Beam of Anger" [4] as these are the only 2 canon sources currently existing. -Corza Moon (talk) 00:38, 2 December 2019 (EST)

Article Name Change

I propose we change the page name so that it either matches Viz Media's "Crescent Beam Barrage"[5] or Cloverway/Pioneer's "Crescent Beam of Anger"[6]. Its current English name has no canon source, neither does the kanji/kana used. I like "Crescent Beam of Anger" because it sounds like a closer translation to what she says in the episode, but the Viz release is the newer of the 2 translations. -Corza Moon (talk) 01:45, 3 December 2019 (EST)
