Takurou Ootaku was a Codename: Sailor V-only character. He was a nerdy gamer and pervert who disliked the fact that couples were coming to Game Center Crown, as he believed it should be a "castle for lonely boys." When Minako began coming to the center by herself, and even managed to beat his high score on a game he normally dominated, he was horrified and even demanded she remove her clothes as he believed she was actually a man in drag. Minako tried using her compact to attain the battle armor of one of the female characters of a popular game and to teach him a lesson, but the armor was too heavy for her to use effectively. She transformed into Sailor V, and Takurou decided to look up her skirt so she used her Sailor V Kick on him.
He could be considered a villain to some extent as, though he was merely a regular human and not affliated with any of the evil organizations of the Sailor Moon universe, Minako did transform into Sailor V in order to beat him.
Trivia[edit]
- His name is a play on the term otaku, which means nerd/fanboy/fangirl.
- The gamer Yukihide Ohbayashi in episode 191 of the anime was similar in appearance to Takurou, and also disliked girls who played video games.
