Sailor Pewter Fox |
Sailor Pewter Fox was a Sera Myu only character, and was an additional Sailor Animamate. She appeared in the musical Sailor Moon Sailor Stars and its revision. As Sailor Lead Crow was not included in the play, Sailor Pewter Fox could be seen as a replacement. She appeared to take on leadership of the Sailor Animamates and had quite a few solo singing roles.
Sailor Pewter Fox was played by Rei Ku for the summer of 1996, and later the part was filled by actress Junko Iemura for the winter of 1997.
Mythology
The fox is a significant animal in Japanese myth. Kitsune (狐), or foxes, are very powerful and tricky demons. They have many tails, usually indicating the age and power of the demon. They can take the shape of just about anything; they sometimes appear as pretty women who seduce men and kill them, and sometimes are more benign tricksters.
