Motoki Furuhata |
Motoki Furuhata ran the Game Center Crown. In the anime and manga, he had blond hair and blue eyes, and was hardly ever seen without his work uniform on. Usagi thought he was Tuxedo Mask for most of the first season, and had a crush on him. In both the anime and manga Makoto also developed a brief crush on him, as did Minako in Codename: Sailor V. He was friends with Mamoru as well.
In the anime he and Mamoru Chiba attended KO University. In the manga, he attended K University while Mamoru was in high school. In the manga he was aware of at least Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus's identities after "Endou" (evil Mamoru) destroyed the part of Game Center Crown which contained the Senshi's secret base.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
Motoki in PGSM |
In the live-action series, Motoki worked in the Crown Karaoke and his only family shown was his pet turtle. He was a nice, very goofy guy who seemed to have taken on the comic relief role which Umino had in the anime and manga. He was a friend of both Mamoru and Hina, and was shown to provide emotional support for Mamoru when needed. He fancied Makoto Kino, who later was forced to transform in front of him; in the Special Act they were dating, and at the end of the Act Makoto accepted his proposal.
Trivia
- In the North American dub Motoki did not receive a surname, however in in Mixx's Sailor Moon the Novels' novelizations he is given the surname Foreman.[1]
