Moon Princess Halation was Sailor Moon's attack from the Sailor Moon R season of the anime and the Black Moon arc of the manga.
When she performed this attack in the anime, Sailor Moon would wave the rod around in a complex manner, charging it up, before pointing it toward her target and sending the attack.
In the manga, Neo-Queen Serenity gave her Cutie Moon Rod to Sailor Chibi Moon, allowing her to perform this attack with Sailor Moon in order to destroy Death Phantom.
Trivia
- The word "halation" refers to a photographic error in which certain bright objects appear to have an aura or halo. The word does not appear to have any significance to the attack.
- This attack was originally renamed "Moon Scepter Elimination" in the English dub, but in dub episode 67 it changed to "Moon Scepter Activation."
- The ADV box set of Sailor Moon R mistakenly subtitled this attack as "Moon Princess Elimination," one of the dub names for this attack.
- In the musical Shin / Henshin - Super Senshi e no Michi - Last Dracul Jokyoku, this attacked was performed by Sailor Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Moon with the Spiral Heart Moon Rod and the talismans. The full attack was "Moon Crystal Power, Talisman Space Sword, Talisman Deep Aqua Mirror, Talisman Garnet Orb, Moon Princess Halation. It purified the Inner Senshi of vampirism, however it don't not seem to cure Sailor Neptune, who was bitten moments before performing this attack and would remain cursed.
