Mailing Lists

In the mid-to-late 1990s, before forums became commonplace, the Sailor Moon fandom had several resources for discussion. They were newsgroups such as alt.fan.sailor-moon, followed by IRC chatrooms and, equally as popular (if not more so), mailing lists.

There were three main Sailor Moon mailing lists in the 1990s, all of which are long-since defunct:

• The Indiana Mailing List
• The Taronga Mailing List
• The Looney Mailing List

The mailing lists were named after the servers they were hosted on.
