}}[[Luna]] discovers that she has an admirer, in the form of an overweight tomcat named [[Rhett Butler]]. Meanwhile, the [[Sailor Senshi]] and [[Zoisite]] compete for the last [[Rainbow Crystals|Rainbow Crystal]].

==Summary==
Having wandered into the wrong area, [[Luna]] is chased by an army of angry cats. Just as she is cornered, an enormous blue cat comes to her rescue, scaring off the other cats and licking her injured tail. Whilst Luna is profoundly disturbed by her fat savior, the cat's owner, a young girl called [[An Ohara]], arrives to collect him. The giant cat's name is [[Rhett Butler]]. Zoisite observes the girl and her cat, the [[Black Crystal]] indicating that she has the last [[Rainbow Crystals|Rainbow Crystal]]. 

Later that day, Luna is still nursing her injuries, while [[Usagi Tsukino|Usagi]], [[Ami Mizuno|Ami]], and [[Makoto Kino|Makoto]] meet up. [[Rei Hino|Rei]] is absent, intent on going on a date with [[Mamoru Chiba|Mamoru]], but she can only get through to his answering machine as he broods over the seventh Rainbow Crystal. Meanwhile, Ami uses [[Supercomputer|her computer]] to predict the location of the crystal, and narrows it down to a single house.

Usagi, Ami, Makoto, and Luna go to the house, but Luna is horrified to see Rhett Butler in the window. She opts to wait outside while the others investigate, but finds herself surrounded by angry cats again. The girls call at the house and the little girl answers the door, accompanied by her cat. The [[Moon Stick]] responds to her, but then Rhett Butler suddenly makes a break for it. The girl chases after him and ends up in an alley, where she is attacked by Zoisite.

Luna, meanwhile, is surrounded by a gang of murderous cats. As they go to attack, Rhett Butler arrives again to save her. During their escape, they accidentally fall down a manhole into the sewer.

Zoisite tries to remove the Rainbow Crystal from the girl, but the Black Crystal has no effect. Suddenly he realizes that the crystal must be inside her cat instead. [[Sailor Moon]], [[Sailor Mercury]], and [[Sailor Jupiter]] arrive to battle him, but he disappears, leaving the unconscious girl behind. He reappears in the sewer, where Luna and Rhett Butler are lying unconscious just a short distance away.

Usagi, Ami, and Makoto have returned to the girl's house and are standing guard over her. Zoisite, meanwhile, sneaks through the sewer in search of Rhett Butler, and is disgusted to find himself chased by a horde of rats. As for Rei, she is wandering through town, unable to contact Mamoru and with nothing to do. [[Yuuichirou Kumada|Yuuichirou]] appears and tries to ask her on a date, but she plays hard to get and scares him off.

Luna and Rhett Butler search for an exit from the sewer. Luna is annoyed with him, until she notices that he hurt his leg while saving her. Zoisite appears in the distance, intent on getting Rhett Butler's Rainbow Crystal and still being chased by the rats. Luna and Rhett Butler try to escape through a vent, but Zoisite follows them and is engulfed by the horde of rats.

Rei is by the river and notices Luna and Rhett Butler running. She then sees thousands of rats surge from the sewer entrance. Meanwhile, Ami finally realizes that the Moon Stick isn't responding to the girl, and that her cat must have the Rainbow Crystal.

Zoisite emerges from the sea of rats to attack Rhett Butler. [[Sailor Mars]] tries to stop him, but he successfully removes the [[Rainbow Crystals|Violet Rainbow Crystal]] and transforms the cat into the [[Youma]] [[Bakene]]. However, [[Tuxedo Mask]] turns up and takes the crystal from Zoisite. The Youma starts to head towards town, and Luna tries to stop him. She slips and falls, but the Youma catches her. The other [[Sailor Senshi]] arrive, Sailor Jupiter retrieving Luna, and Sailor Moon returning the Youma to normal with [[Moon Healing Escalation]].

The girls reunite Rhett Butler with his owner, but Luna strenuously denies having any feelings for him. Although secretly, she just can't help imagining....

==Episode trivia==
* This episode featured [[Daisuke Sakaguchi]]'s first ever voice work, where he played a cat. He would later go onto star as [[Kyuusuke Sarashina]]'s regular voice artist in [[Sailor Moon SuperS]].

* This episode contained several ''[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gone_with_the_Wind Gone With the Wind]'' references, in the form of puns and jokes. The cat shared his name with the male lead of Gone With the Wind, Rhett Butler; his owner's family name was Ohara (written in kanji but still sounding like O'Hara), humourous messages appeared in a pair of posters that resembled people from the same period as Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler (see below trivia note), and when [[Rei Hino|Rei]] commented that [[Yuuichirou Kumada|Yuuichirou]] rushed off quickly, Rei says he was "Gone with the wind, I guess...".

* When Yuuichirou tried to ask Rei out on a date, there was a poster of a man behind him and a poster of a woman behind Rei, and the facial expressions of the people and the text on the posters changed during the conversation as if reacting to what the two characters were saying. The Japanese text on the blue poster behind Rei said "My perfume...I am beautiful." The text on the red poster behind Yuuichiou said "Now is the chance.  Go for it you Japanese boy!" Then, after Yuuichirou said it was no big deal, the red poster changed to say "Is it really all right?!"

* The screen on [[Ami Mizuno|Ami]]'s computer read "Operation Number 31," the same number as this episode.

* All of the original references to "Gone with the Wind" were removed from the dialogue in the [[Sailor Moon in North America#English dub|first English dub]], but it added Raye saying, "Tomorrow is another day," after seeing Chad, which was the closing line of the film. 

* In the teaser for this episode in the first English dub, it was mentioned for the first time that the show took place in [[Tokyo]].

* This episode was omitted from the [[Sailor Moon in Korea#Anime|Korean dub]].

* In the [[Sailor Moon in Brazil|Brazilian dub]], Rei says Luna, though the character's name is Lua in the dubbing of Brazil.
