Venus Wink Chain Sword was an attack used by Sailor Venus in the manga, Crystal, musicals, and video games.
In the manga, it was first used against a Daimon in Act 27. In this attack, Sailor Venus used her chain to create a sword that appeared to be made of light or energy.
In Crystal, Venus winked to make a yellow heart appear, then touched it to turn it into the Holy Blade. She swung the sword around and then threw it, and several larger versions of her chain shot at the enemy. When she used the attack in Act 27, the chains appeared to hold the Daimon in place as it was struck by Sailor Jupiter's attack.
This attack was first used in the musical Sailor Moon S - Usagi Ai no Senshi e no Michi, where it was used to destroy Death Ri, one of the Death Mannetjes.
This attack was also used in several video games. In Sailor Moon: Another Story, the attack was depicted as a sword made of light that was thrown at an enemy. In the Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon SuperS fighting games, Sailor Venus swung her chain to create a rising pillar of light inside of which the shape of a sword could be seen.
Trivia[edit]
- Though this attack was never used in the original anime, when Sailor Venus used it in the video game Sailor Moon: Another Story it was voiced by Rica Fukami.
