Could someone who knows the Japanese names/kanji for the various planets please add them to the planetary articles? Kerochan no Miko 00:06, 20 August 2006 (MST)

210, I removed the "some of" from the asteroids section, because the list builds off the paragraph which already notes that some of the asteroids are of signficance in the series. The point of this article isn't to be a comprehensive astronomical reference, but rather to note the planetary bodies that are significant to the series. Kerochan no Miko 00:14, 20 August 2006 (MST)

I've noticed that now. 210 00:23, 20 August 2006 (MST)
A few more things that could go here... Nemesis should be in the planets section, certainly. There could be a satellites section too... but I'm not sure what could go there other than the Moon. Deimos and Phobos are possibilities, as well the moons which the various planetary castles are named after... dooky 03:53, 20 August 2006 (MST)
Hmm, aught we to mention plutons and what the IAU 2006 proposed definition of planet? Or wait until this has been formally accepted by the IAU? GracieLizzie 04:30, 20 August 2006 (MST)
Might be worth waiting this out... it's big news now but in six months' time, who knows? We could mention the current ambiguity in the definition of 'planet', I suppose, but let's only list the bodies that are planets in the context of the series for now. dooky 04:39, 20 August 2006 (MST)
Who knows what would be the reactions to any IAU decision in the scientific communities & the public all over the world? Who knows how would those reactions impact on the IAU? Who knows if the IAU could made the decision on schedule at all? So many uncertainties (not to mention dozens of potential planets outside Neptune's orbit are expected to be discovered in the near future), we don't know how long would be the actual wait. So I think the best strategy is to do it w/ the current established knowledge & be prepared to change it in the future. 210 05:03, 20 August 2006 (MST)
I mentioned moons in the pages for the planets themselves, as well as Phobos and Deimos - on the main solar system page I only listed the ones with an associated Senshi, and it's uncertain (IMHO) whether or not Phobos and Deimos are properly Sailor Senshi or just named for the moons. 210, is there any reason you keep extending the wikilinks (in this and other articles) to encompass extra words? I can almost understand it with 'Sailor Moon series' (although this goes against the style established on the voice actor pages) but with 'Sailor Moon canon' it's downright confusing, since enclosing 'canon' within the link suggests that the link will point to a page specifically about series canon, rather than just to the series page. dooky 06:16, 26 August 2006 (MST)

My reason is that if only "Sailor Moon" is highlighted, it also gives an impression that it's referring to the person, despite the italics (& especially so if the italics is omitted). But you're right concerning the canon thing. In this case, I'd rather leave it as "Sailor Moon", & I'm gonna do it now. 210 17:14, 26 August 2006 (MST)
That's why I put the title in italics: because titles are very often italicised, but names almost never are. dooky 17:24, 26 August 2006 (MST)

Clarification Please?[edit]

I can't remember. what WAS Astarte o.O I'm pretty sure it was mentioned as some sort of celestial body on the otherside of the sun... But can't remember what. Help?Cartwheelingfiesta 01:48, 5 April 2011 (MST)
