Did DiC ever state why they skipped certain episodes? --Rosen 02:24, 28 August 2006 (MST)
- I am not sure they did, I heard all sorts of different theories. Including the idea that these episodes had "unsuitable" material or that some of these episodes were cut for not adding to the overall plot of the anime. I am not sure if DiC ever gave a statement though, these may be fan-conjecture. GracieLizzie 02:47, 28 August 2006 (MST)
- No official statement was ever given. Personally I doubt that any of the dropped episodes were scrapped because they contained 'objectionable material', when in most cases said material could be cut with ease. I have my own theories, but to be honest I think we should avoid conjecture wherever possible. dooky 07:44, 28 August 2006 (MST)
OP/ED trivia[edit]
I'm not sure how to handle this bit of info, but I haven't found it referenced here, so I'll just ask first.
The first few Japanese episodes originally had slightly different OP/ED sequences. The changes between the two versions are cosmetic (like the background of Tuxedo's cape, or the city shown in the ending -- there are bits of info about this available on the Web, but it's better to just watch). The opening changes starting from episode 6, ending - from episode 7.
Unfortunately, it appears that no creditless versions exist of that first OP/ED pair, which would explain why the uncut release from ADV (and the Russian dub, for that matter) use the final versions from the start.
(Ditto with Sailor Moon S, which had three modifications of the opening.)
I expected to find this referenced in the trivia sections for episodes where the OP switch occurs, but only found such note for SuperS and Stars. Should this info (for "Classic", R and S) be put there, if it isn't anywhere else already? --YnK 01:03, 15 February 2011 (MST)
