A "cassete tape"? What's that? Just kidding ^^
Wow, cassetes, I'm having a flasback about my big sister's adolescence: Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, ew. Silver 07:05, 18 December 2009 (MST)
- If you didn't know that, cassette tapes were needed in using the Apple II computers (yeah, they're produced by the same company making the Mac computers today) - talk about sequential R/W of the time. lol --210 22:25, 18 December 2009 (MST)
- ..... "sequential R/W"? Kerochan no Miko 22:34, 18 December 2009 (MST)
- I meant "sequential read/write." ; ) In the case of the Apple II, the tapes were often used for loading games (of course, it took some time lol). --210 22:49, 18 December 2009 (MST)
- Yes, I used Apple IIs. I know how they worked. But I still have no idea what you're talking about, so I'll just give up. Kerochan no Miko 22:53, 18 December 2009 (MST)
- Maybe it's not how you call in English? What I meant is that the tapes are read/written sequentially/serially, as compared to the random R/W in magnetic/optical discs. ; ) Now if anyone wanna know how the R/W process worked before the use of the tapes? lol --210 22:59, 18 December 2009 (MST)
