Shigeru Yanagawa

Shigeru Yanagawa (柳川茂) was a writer for the first three seasons of the Sailor Moon anime. He originally worked as a screenwriter and series planner at Tatsunoko Production on series such as Gatchaman and Mori no Youki na Kobito-tachi: Belfy to Lillibit (released in English as The Littl' Bits), then went freelance in the early 1980s and wrote for such popular series as Urusei Yatsura, Touch, and Ranma 1/2. Notable Sailor Moon episodes written by him include the first appearances of Makoto, Ail, An, and Sailor Pluto, and the deaths of the Inner Senshi. His final episode was episode 121.
