Rainbow Moon Heartache was an upgrade to Moon Spiral Heart Attack. The attack was performed similarly, but it was more powerful and Sailor Moon could only use it while in "Super" form.
Daimons destroyed by this attack cried out, "Love-lovely!"
In the manga, Sailor Moon Crystal, musicals, and the video game Sailor Moon: Another Story, there was a version of this attack performed by Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon together, called Rainbow Double Moon Heartache (レインボー・ダブル・ムーン・ハートエイク／虹色双月心激).
This attack was also used in the video game Sailor Moon S for the 3DO.

- In the Sailor Moon SuperS Nakayoshi Anime Album, this attack was called Rainbow Moon Heart-Quake (レインボー・ムーン・ハートクエイク).
- The literal meanings of the individual kanji characters used in the name of this attack in the manga are "rainbow-colored" (虹色), "moon" (月), "heart" (心), and "intensify" (激).
