Kouta Takai was a Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon only character. He was a friend of Motoki Furuhata who also really liked turtles. When around girls he became very nervous and developed uncontrollable hiccups.
When Motoki invited him to come along with the group to an amusement park in Act 7, Rei ended up sitting with him while he tried various strange remedies to stop his hiccups, watching as the others in the group went on the rides.
In Act 26, Makoto encountered him as he was working behind the counter at Karaoke Crown while Motoki was at the airport to bid Mamoru farewell.
