Jupiter Thunderbolt was Sailor Jupiter's strongest attack in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, and one of her first attacks in Sailor Moon Crystal and the reprint version of the manga.
Manga[edit]
In the original version of the manga, Sailor Jupiter's first lighting attack did not have a name, but appeared similar to Supreme Thunder. It was given this name in the reprint of the manga, possibly to bring it in line with the attacks in the live-action series. It was only used once, in Act 5, in order to destroy Nephrite. Similar to Supreme Thunder in the anime, before Sailor Jupiter used this attack she called upon Jupiter to bring down a storm.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon[edit]
In the live-action series, Jupiter Thunderbolt was Sailor Jupiter's special attack using her Sailor Star Tambourine. To perform it, she would wave her Tambourine in a circle to charge it up, tap it against her palm, then point it at her target to send a powerful lightning bolt their direction. It was only used twice in the series: first in Act 26, in conjunction with Moon Twilight Flash in order to destroy one of Nephrite's Youma, and again in Act 48 against Metalia Endymion.
Sailor Moon Crystal[edit]
Sailor Jupiter used this attack in Act 5, where it also appeared similar to Supreme Thunder. The antenna in her tiara went up and she called upon Jupiter to bring a storm, then collected lightning in her hands and threw it, which injured Nephrite and destroyed his Youma.
