Ishtar was a character in the video game Sailor Moon: Another Story. She was an Oppositio Senshi, Sailor Venus' opposite, with light-based attacks.
While the other Oppositio Senshi were more serious and focused on their main goal of capturing the Silver Crystal, Ishtar was more ditzy and distracted, and once said that she was no good at looking for what she should. She joined the other Oppositio Senshi when she was with Nabu, whose attitude Ishtar could not understand, as she could not hear Apsu's voice talking to her friend. When Nabu was taken, Ishtar followed her and was taken in as well. Apsu had not planned to take one more member, but she accepted Ishtar in her ranks anyway. Along with the other Oppositio Senshi, Ishtar ended up making peace with Sailor Moon in the end and refused to continue to fight for Apsu's cause.
Attacks[edit]
- Hell's Shower - Ishtar's signature attack.
- Dark Beaut - Ishtar used the same attack as Calaveras.
- Miryou - This was a charm-based attack.
- Dokugiri - This was a poison-based attack.
- Sonic Wave - This was a sleep-based attack.
Trivia[edit]
- In Sumerian culture, Ishtar was associated with the planet Venus; she was the goddess of love and was most closely comparable to the Greek goddess Aphrodite, who was known as Venus to the Romans.
