Chapter 1 Beware of the Transfer Student was a Sailor Moon manga side story, originally published in RunRun, which was later included in volume 5 of the manga. It was about a vampire named Lilica Hubert who transferred into Chibiusa's class at school and preyed on her classmates.

The SuperS special "Chibiusa's Adventure! The Dreaded Vampire Castle" was based on this story.

Trivia

• The original version of the manga simply called this "Chibiusa Enikki" (ちびうさ絵日記; Chibiusa's Picture Diary), but the re-release of the manga gave it the title "Tenkousei ni Goyoujin!" (転校生にご用心！; Beware the Exchange Student!).

• This chapter included the first appearances of Momoko Momohara, Kyuusuke Sarashina, Gurio Sorano, Ishihara, and Kuwano.

• At the end of this chapter, Chibiusa dreamed of being a Sailor Senshi called "Sailor Chibiusa Moon," who wore a sailor fuku similar to that of her real Senshi form, Sailor Chibi Moon. When she awakened in a later chapter of the main storyline, the only difference was that her imaginary Senshi form also wore a cape.
