Akiko Yanagi was an anime-only character who appeared in episode 6. She was an employee at Jam Records, and Yusuke Amade secretly had a crush on her, though she had so far remained oblivious to that fact.
When Yusuke was targeted by the Youma Kyurene, Akiko was caught in the attack. After she and Yusuke were saved by Sailor Moon, he found the courage to confess his love to Akiko, and the two of them were later married.
